Well, I think things are getting back on track... just in time for National Scrapbooking Day! Yay! There is going to be so much going on in the scrapping community this weekend to celebrate! Lots of activities and prizes!

I've been busy with some other layouts this week, too.

This one was for the Everyday Magic challenge at Scrap Matters. The challenge was to scrap your favorite color. Bet you can't guess what mine is! ;) I used Berry Crush by Erica Zane.


And these are pages I scrapped because I'm *trying* to catch up on some of my older pictures. The second one was also for the Roadmap to Scrap challenge at Scrap Matters. For these two, I used Happy Go Lucky from Shabby Princess.

Wow, things have been really slow this week! Nikki Scott has been out of town, Erica Zane is moving and was without internet this week, and the gallery is down at Scrap Matters while they move to a new server. Not a good week in my little corner of the scrapping world! LOL

The good news for you, though, is that I was bored enough to make you another free tempalate!! Yay! I used my Mr. Potato Head page to make this one. Snag it if you like it! And feel free to leave me some love if you do. ;)

Speed Scrap!

I participated in the Speed Scrap at Scrap Metters yesterday afternoon. It was fun! If you want to know how a speed scrap works, you can read about it here. Here's how my page ended up:

These were the directions:

1) Pick your photos. Today we'll be scrapping happy photos. Any number you want, but they HAVE TO BE very happy photos!!
2) Pick your papers. I want to see you stack at least 3 papers. No less than 3. Solids, patterns, whatever you want. As long as your page base is at least 3 stacked papers.
3) Arrange your photos on the paper stack. Then, choose a small element (or shrink one down) and repeat it on your page at least 8 times, if not more. It can NOT be a staple!
4) Add some string or bows.
5) Add something that looks hand drawn. A borderline, a doodle, a font. Anything that looks hand drawn.
6) Time to title the page. Use 1 alpha for your entire title (you can use a font too if you really need to). Use an alpha that you've haven't used in a while, but that you HAVE used before.
7) Embellish however else you wish. Journal at least 2 sentences and date your page.

We got an awesome alpha as a participation prize!

Erica Zane released a new kit yesterday called Tropical Escape. She teamed up with Mari Koegelenberg Creations and this kit is packed with fun stuff!

Couldn't wait

I just couldn't wait to play with some of Erica Zane's cute stuff!! I did this page with a kit called Fizzy Fridays. Erica is a guest designer at The Digichick this month, so this kit is actually for sale there, not at Scrap Matters.



This is a picture of my little sister. It was fun to be able to do a girly page for once!

New Creative Team!!!!

I am SO excited to announce that Erica Zane, from Scrap Matters, has asked me to be on her CT!! I wasn't really planning on doing more than one at the moment, but she sent me a message asking if I'd be interested. How could I say no??? Her stuff is SOOOO cute and I'm SO excited to be able to play with some of it!!
