
I have been planning this quilt for months, but once I found fabric I liked and actually got going on it, it actually came together quite quickly. I think it helps that I did big old 8 inch squares. That and I tied it instead of quilting it.

Mostly because I'm lazy, but also because the minky fabric that I used for the back was too stretchy for machine quilting.

Just look at that soft, fuzzy coziness. :)
I'm just grateful I got it done before she arrived. Three more weeks to go! Maybe I have time to make matching sheets?

LOVE it! And you really could do sheets- they're a quick, easy project (really- two hours max). Very cute! Good work. She'll love it!
